Circular Dichroism Applications:
Circular Dichroism (CD) spectroscopy is a primary method for investigating chirality and for characterising the higher order structure (HOS, secondary structure, tertiary structure, etc.) of proteins, glycoproteins, nucleic acids, DNA, RNA and other biomacromolecules. It provides a powerful tool for studying structural stability and is a key part of biopharmaceutical comparability studies for assessing structural similarity. It is also a uniquely perceptive technique for investigating binding, molecular associations and conformational phenomena.
